Choice and control are at the heart of the NDIS, and that includes the right to change providers. If a service is not meeting your needs, you can switch.
Check your service agreement
Look at the notice period in your agreement — often two to four weeks. Following the agreed process keeps the transition smooth and professional.
Line up your new provider
Find and confirm your new provider before ending the old arrangement so there is no gap in support. Our directory makes it easy to compare options in your area.
Give notice and hand over
Notify your current provider in writing and arrange any handover of information. If you are plan or self managed, simply update your records and start with the new provider.
Switching is normal — good providers understand and will help make it seamless.
